Carrie has developed a reputation as a multi-dimensional news talent, based on her ability to fuse news reporting and relaxed on-air banter. Carrie got her first break during a work experience placement in her hometown, Perth, when she was thrust into the studio as an emergency replacement for a newsroom colleague who fell ill on the job. While the well-being of the other newsreader is unknown, it’s no secret that Carrie’s star has continued to rise. Bickmore is currently a presenter on The Project which airs weeknights on Network Ten, presents radio news and is a Gold Logie award winner.
